From the Owner of Big Blue

I want you to feel comfortable working with someone you may never meet
in person, so I've included some personal information
about myself.
My name is Jennifer Hautman and I'm originally from Cincinnati,
Ohio. I was raised by fairly strict parents who instilled in
me a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility, which is
rather unusual for an artsy-fartsy type. Besides a design sense, my personality
and communication skills are two of
my strongest attributes.
I attended Miami University in Oxford Ohio and received my BFA in
Graphic Design. My first design job was at a television station. I
designed and produced a monthly magazine, logos,
on-air graphics and other promotional materials. I distinctly remember
thinking to myself after a week on the job, “I can't believe
they're actually paying me to do this.” A sure sign that I had
chosen the right profession.
In 3 years I managed to work my way up to Art Director. After that
I held various positions for graphic design companies and
ad agencies before making my own business a priority. Throughout my
20+ year design career I have learned what it takes to stand out and
present a professional image. But don't take my word for it. See
what others have said about my work.
In 1996 we moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast in search of open water,
warmth, and bright sunny days. We then moved to Slidell which is just
north of New Orleans. After our home was flooded by hurricane Katrina
in 2005 we moved to St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands. My
husband and I have been married for over 20 years. We have two adorable
cats and enjoy being near and on the water. My particular passions are painting and golf.
Myers-Briggs Personality Type: ENTP
ENTP’s At Work: A career atmosphere for ENTPs is to work with a variety of projects
with different groups and this work must be personally enjoyable,
challenging, and not very structured. They aspire to create new ideas,
products, services, or solutions. They view limitations as challenges
to be overcome and look for new ways to do things. They prefer the
start-up phase of a project rather than the maintenance phase. ENTPs
usually find work that involves an analytical, entrepreneurial, and
creative focus.
ENTP's Strengths: creative, communication skills, project-oriented,
enthusiastic
ENTP's Weaknesses: overconfident, needs variety, bored easily
